There are plenty of fun things about our city, and we’ve listed a range of places to visit in Stoke-on-Trent below that are sure to entertain your visiting family and friends!

Waterworld Aqua Park

The Waterworld Leisure Resort is a  tropical indoor aqua park is is an epic adventure for the whole family to enjoy, with over 30 different rides and attractions including Thunderbolt, the UK’s first trap door drop waterslide! There’s also the outdoor pool for those looking to enjoy some sunshine in the summer months!

Prices start from £22, the cheapest way to get from Stoke-on-Trent Station to Water World is to taxi which costs £7 – £9 and takes 3 min. If taking the bus, you can catch the number 25 towards Hanley (City Centre). From Hanley (City Centre), you can catch either the number 4 or 4a towards Festival Park. 

The Clubhouse Stoke

Another fun place for family and friends, especially if the weather is a bit rubbish, is to head to The Clubhouse (Stoke) for indoor games, gaming and nightlife situated in the heart of Newcastle-under-Lyme. From crazy golf, computer games room, table tennis and beer pong, there’s lots of fun to be had for anyone that loves a bit of friendly competition.

Bus services: 25 towards Keele from Stoke Train Station.

Trentham Gardens

Trentham Gardens is a beautiful estate that features an Italian Garden, Lake, Floral Labyrinth, a sculptural wire fairy trail, seasonal boat trips and a shopping village with 50 shops and 14 cafes and restaurants. It is just over two miles round said lake with lots of interest including bird life and the gardens are truly beautiful when the sun is shining.

Bus services: 101 approximately every 20-30 minutes from Hanley bus station.

Monkey Forest

Just down the road from Trentham Gardens is Trentham Monkey Forest; a sanctuary for endangered Barbary monkeys. Guests walk along the 3/4 of a mile pathway, amongst the monkeys, and see exactly how they live and behave in the wild.

Alton Towers

Approximately a 30-minute journey from Stoke-on-Trent is one of the U.K’s largest theme parks, Alton Towers. There is a handy bus that can collect you and your friends or family at the train station, and take you right to the main entrance!
